Photo Diary from Antigua, Guatemala
One of my favorite aspects of this fashion adventure is all of the wonderful people I get to meet and places I get to experience. A couple of weeks ago I took a trip to Guatemala to meet with some of our DOLANmakers and venture off the grid for a little excursion to Antigua. I was so taken with this charming and special place.: bright colors, lovely people, beautiful landscapes, and incredible textiles… With so much inspiration around every corner, I feel compelled to share a few photos I took along the way.
At the Filadelfia Coffee Plantation. Still pretty excited about my llama sighting.
Upon arrival to my hotel, a converted colonial style convent (how’s that alliteration!) called Casa Santo Domingo.
The lush grounds of Casa Santo Domingo.
Local style: amazing colors and pattern mixing! So much joy for my eyeballs.
Gearing up for shopping!
And this bird embroidery (!!!!!)- so special.
